Proposal:
My magazine is going to be about dance music, it is going to feature DJ Jack Harris a small time DJ in Portsmouth who is beginning to move onto bigger things. It is also going to include other music news and also pictures from gigs etc. The magazine is aimed at young students aged about 14 – 25, but maybe also read by other audiences because of the music news that will be featured in the magazine.
The magazine will contain a double page spread of the main feature DJ JACK Harris, in this double page spread will include the life of the DJ how he came to fame and what he has in mind for the future, the magazine spread will have a number of pictures of the DJ for more visual readers to give them a more understanding of the spread. The story will also have quotations from the stars family and friends and also comments from critics and fans, this will help the audience to understand more about the young star.
The magazine will be published monthly, this will help to keep the audience on a cliff hanger because it will keep them eager until the next copy comes out. Also it will be published monthly so that there is enough music news that can be published with it as a lot will happen in the music industry in a month.
The main images that I will use throughout the magazine will be of the upcoming star to show that the issue this month is of the DJ, I will include other pictures, which may be about the music news or another article in the magazine. I will have cover lines on the front page these will be quotations of critics and fans to big up the magazine and the DJ that it is about. The cost of the magazine will be about £1.50 because from my questionnaire I can see people will pay this amount but not much more than it.
